The Art Pilgrim can arrange an enjoyable visit to London’s various galleries and museums, including studio visits and special projects. A guided tour experience will help interpret the art and take you to new places within the city. Pitched to all levels, the tours are ideal for individuals or small groups entering the art world. It is a great way to get some exercise and learn.
Sample itinerary 1.
9am - Early access start at Tate Modern with a brief overview of the history of Tate Galleries, the architecture of Tate Modern and the collection
Visit the temporary exhibition, with an explanation in each room as well as time to enjoy the art.
10.30am - depart Tate Modern for a studio visit of a practicing artist
12noon - Visit local commercial galleries for an opportunity to see what is selling just now.
1pm - End with local lunch recommendation

10am - Meet at The Royal Academy of Arts with an introduction to the current trends in contemporary art and the history of the RA
Visit the best of the current exhibitions, with an explanation in each room highlighting specific works
11.45am - one hour walking tour of contemporary galleries in Mayfair, including some of the world’s leading art dealers
1pm - End with recommendation for lunch
